Hi everyone & Happy New Year!

To kick off 2012, this Tuesday we'll be talking with collaborators Shannon  
Stratton, Abigail Satinsky, and Bryce Dwyer about the recent conference they  
coordinated, /Hand-in-Glove/ [2].
>*Hand-in-Glove* is a semiannual conference for independent visual arts  
>organizers working at the crossroads of creative administration and studio  
>practice. This conference is open to people engaged in the pragmatic  
>realities and imaginative possibilities of organizing exhibitions,  
>re-granting programs, publications, residencies, public programs, platforms  
>for projects, and a variety of other programming that challenges traditional  
>formats for the production and reception of art at the grassroots level.  
>These include, but are not limited to, artist-run exhibition spaces,  
>independent programming series, unconventional residency programs, and  
>artist-run pedagogical experiments.

Shannon and Abigail work on threewalls [3], a Chicago non-profit organization  
and exhibition space. Bryce and Abigail are also part of the group InCUBATE  
[4]. A lot of
amazing people
were involved in the first Hand-in-Glove conference – maybe you were one of  
them, or know someone who was, or curious about the next version. Either way,  
join us this week to chat about the hows whys & outcomes so far, discuss &  
co-conspire…
